Generation Z, and their New Families and New Identities

STORY BY: Curtis Richardson
YEAR: 2019
LOCATION: Winnipeg, MB

Curtis is a high school teacher in Winnipeg who saw BOOM X with his students. He found Brandon's story of particular interest, as he is a gay man who has adopted a child with his husband. "We're experienced a lot of students in Generation Z that are coming from more diverse families." He encourages us to continue exploring new representations of gender and identity in Part 3 of the BOOM trilogy, called BOOM YZ, about the years 1996-2020. "Many people have been able to be more free with their identity... and there are many more chances for acceptance of new family and new people coming together." Thanks for sharing, Curtis.
