On Generations: "In the end, a 50-year-old's a 50-year-old!"

Rob reflects on the idea of "generations", which is touched on throughout the show BOOM X. He doesn't believe in the idea of a generation, and doesn't consider himself to be part of Generation X. Rob considers himself a "closet Marxist, a working class boy of these parts", meaning Winnipeg. He says he can relate to his friend's 16-year old child, who can give him a patronizing look, "much like I did when I was 16". While recognizing that each decade may have unique experiences, on a fundamental level, Rob feels that we are all more similar than we are different. "In the end, a 50-year-old's a 50-year-old!".
