Kim remembers a story about the announcement of John Lennon's death. She was 14 1/2 years old, flying home from Disneyland, in Anaheim, CA. The pilot suddenly announced that John Lennon had been murdered, and Kim remembers feeling this "emptiness", even though she was too young to understand Lennon's impact on the world. "It was like the plane lost its oxygen", and there was a profound silence. She later came to appreciate why people were so affected, but at then time, she only knew that this was a moment she would remember for the rest of her life. Thanks for sharing, Kim.
