I Was an Engineering Student, just like the Montreal Massacre Victims

Shauna was quite moved by BOOM X's depiction of the "Montreal Massacre" at École Polytechnique on Dec 6, 1989, when a classroom of women engineering students were gunned down by a man who "hated that women were studying engineering". She was studying engineering at the University of Saskatchewan at the time, and she remembers how deelply saddened she was by the event. One of Shauna's post-show thoughts is that memories such as this are constantly being reflected to theatre audiences like her, and she's grateful for BOOM X, and that it "may take me to be a better person".
