Suddenly, Half of Ireland Was on The Pill

STORY BY:
YEAR: 0
LOCATION:

Doug went to University in Dublin, Ireland between 1964-68. He tells a story about the pill, which (like all contraception) was banned in the country because of the influence of the Catholic Church. But the pill helped women regulate their periods, so suddenly maybe half off the women in Ireland declared irregular periods and got their doctors to prescribe the pill. Thanks for sharing, Doug.
