Forbidden to Meet the Beatles At Dorval Airport

Linda was visiting her grandparents in Montreal when the Beatles came to play there in 1964. They lived near Dorval airport, so Linda wanted to go see their plane land. Her grandfather made her call her father, who lived in Gagnonville in Northern Quebec, to ask for permission. He said no, because she was an only child, and “people are getting stampeded, and little girls and boys are fainting”… “but the good news is that the Beatles came, they are still successful, and I’m still alive!” Thanks for sharing, Linda.
