Ian shares a story about his father, a “military man”, who fought for the Canadian Army during World War 2. A man of high expectations, his father got Ian an office job in Toronto when he was 17. Ian’s friends wanted him travel to a concert in 1969, and he felt torn: does he leave the job and disappoint his father, or does he go with his friends?
