STORY BY: Ann Jewitt
YEAR: 1963

Ann tells us about growing up in Toronto during the Cold War in the 1960s, when they were about to “push the plunger”. Her parents being so fed up with the news that they took young Ann out of the house in the winter to go for a walk. She distinctly remembers “the crunching of the snow” when that happened, as her senses were clearly on high alert. Thanks for sharing, Ann.
