Falling in Love at John Hirsch's MTC
In 1962, John and his wife Justine were University students in Winnipeg. They were both from rural Manitoba, and the only place John could afford to take Justine on dates was the Manitoba Theatre Centre on Portage Avenue, co-founded by John Hirsch. Matinee balcony seats were only $1, and they found Shakespeare, Brecht and Tennessee Williams - "and fell in love", adds Justine. Thanks for sharing.
