Devastated by The Avro Arrow Cancellation

Dennis's father worked for Orenda Engines at the time of the rollout of the Avro Arrow in 1957. Everyone who worked for either Arrow or Orenda was given a picture of the famous rollout. Later, on a Friday afternoon at a Grade 7 skating party, Dennis remembers hearing that the Arrow program had been cancelled. He was devastated, as was the entire town, as 15% of its workforce were Arrow employees. As a result, "I haven't voted Conservative since then… and never will!" Thanks for sharing, Dennis.
