Linda is a huge Janis Joplin fan, and saw her perform at Winnipeg Stadium on July 1st, 1970 as part of the Festival Express. She had saved up to buy 2 $15 tickets, and chose to go with her friend instead of her new boyfriend (now her husband!). Janis died on October 4th of that same year, only months after the concert.
