Nursing Students React to JFK Being Shot

In 1963, Lacona was 19 years old and a nursing student at the Winnipeg Children's Hospital. In November, Kennedy was shot while she was in anatomy class. The teachers let them leave and they spent the whole day in their nurses' residence, watching that moment over and over. Hearing about it in BOOM brought tears to her eyes. Thanks for sharing, Lacona.
