A “Different World” for Demonstrators

Blain was one of the political organizers at the University of British Columbia, protesting Vietnam and holding environmental marches. He reminds us that authorities wanted to keep protesters quiet. While people may have presumed that police were raiding for marijuana or LSD, it was not the drug squad but, in fact, the "red squad" and they were looking for the organizers themselves, to keep them out of commission. He reflects on the changes in demonstrations today, noting, “It’s a different world." Thanks for sharing, Blain.
