“The Russians are coming!”

Cathy grew up in Winnipeg and remembers doing drills in public school for possible air raid warnings. She also remembers her English teacher's sense of humour, which often defused tension. One hot afternoon, the whole city went silent except for the air raid sirens and her teacher peered out the window, saying, "The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming!"
