The Appliance Seller & Agent Orange Sprayer

STORY BY: Dan Litchinskly
YEAR: 1946
LOCATION: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Dan's father owned an appliance store in Alberta. After the war, there was a real shortage of appliances, so they held a draw for a washing machine - not to win it, but to buy it. Dan was also the sprayer of Agent Orange in the early 60s, an herbicide that was used to control brush encroachment on highways in Northern Alberta, but was also famously used by the US Military as herbicidal warfare in Vietnam. Thanks for sharing, Dan.
