No Longer a World of "Wonder"

STORY BY: Rozanne Abramson
YEAR: 1951
LOCATION: Montreal

When Rozanne was younger, she remembers that everything was "wonder". TV was one of those wonders, and they smuggled theirs over the US border. They had no programs to watch, just the "Indian Chief" image, which they were mesmerized by. She makes a point that technology today doesn't provoke that "wonder" in young people anymore. She also remembers the wonders of the Space Race, and seeing the pictures of the Earth from space for the first time. Thanks for sharing, Rozanne.
