The Moon Landing from a Rooftop in Bagdhad
Lisette grew up in Baghdad, Iraq, where she gives us a new perspective on the moon landing in 1969. The used to sleep on the rooftops, gazing at the stars on warm summer nights, with the sound of the Tigris river nearby. It was close to midnight, and her father was listening to his transistor radio when the first humans walked on the moon. She remembers how magical it all felt, watching it from Earth below. Thanks for sharing, Lisette.
