Food Rationing in the UK After WW2
Mark heard many World War 2 stories from his father. One that springs to mind is about food rationing in the United Kingdom, which amazingly didn't finish until the late 1950s. For confectionery, sugar and meat, it ended in the mid 50s, but for things like cheese, rationing effectively - if not legally - only ended in about 1960. Mark finds it interesting to think how this helped shaped the baby boomers' view of the world, especially in Europe. Thanks for sharing, Mark.
