A Phone Operator and JFK's Shooting.

STORY BY: Gail Bennett

Gail's cousin Marilyn was a telephone operator in Halifax in the 1960s. She was working on the day when US President John F Kennedy was shot, and actually got the call from CBC Radio to Washington to confirm that it wasn't a hoax. She said "I don't care if they fire me or not, but I have to stay on this call". Thanks for sharing, Gail.
