Sputnik in the Sky
Art talks about growing up in Jasper, BC, a "fairly isolated town in the winter", where the only outside news they had was the CBC. In 1957, the Soviets launched their Sputnik 1 satellite, and Art heard about it often on the news. Jasper didn't have many lights at the time, so he was able to look up and find Sputnik as it flew across the night sky. Thanks for sharing, Art.
