Jillian talks about how her father grew up in Berlin during World War 2, her mother was from the UK, and her sister has lived in Vienna for over 30 years. Growing up in Canada, Jillian often thought how strange it was that her parents grew up on opposite sides of both world wars. It influenced the way she thought of the world, and how her history was a prologue to her own life. She adds a comment after the recording: "Prepare for peace OR war - not both".
