Doris tells a story about growing up in Liberia, Africa. She was 9 years old in 1968, and she remembers her mother crying when both Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. were assassinated. At the time, Doris couldn't understand what her mother was crying about. She then talks about her cousins who introduced her to the music of the 1960s, and was moved to tears several times in BOOM because of those bittersweet memories.
